Explore the lives of our LGBTQIA+ neighbors

Every year in June, LGBTQIA+ Pride Month is celebrated in the United States. June was chosen to commemorate the riots held by members of the LGBTQIA+ community against a police raid at the Stonewall Inn in New York City on June 28, 1969. According to the Library of Congress, the Stonewall riots were a "tipping point" for the gay liberation movement in the United States.
